Beginning Yoga Poses oga Spinal Balance Pose

Incorporating another strength pose here our gentle series, we'll be moving into a spinal balance. So once again, coming to our hands and knees, stacking our wrists with our shoulders and our knees with our hips. And this a very important thing to remember to stack the joints, because oftentimes, we are not stacking our joints even when we think we are. So even practicing in front of a mirror can be helpful to find that alignment. So moving into the pose, let's take our right leg, extending it behind the body, at hip level, let's flex the ankle, pulling the heel away. Then we can add the left arm, coming out at shoulder level. Holding nice and strong in our bellies and focusing our gaze on the mat, next to the right hand. Taking a few breaths, lengthening from the fingertips, all the way through the spine and to the heel. And then we'll slowly bring that back to center, and then we'll switch sides.
