A relaxing way to start any yoga practice is with some head rotations. Gina's going to demonstrate that for us right now. So she's just going to close her eyes and sit up nice and tall in her easy sitting position. Good. So she's lengthening her spine and she's going to take her eyes and just gaze up to this point, right in between her eyebrows, the third eye. Good. So go ahead and close your eyes while you do that. Good. And now, she's going to begin to just make little tiny circles with her nose. So she's going to make head rotations with her nose, like in a little spiral, gradually and slowly, making it larger and larger. And this has a very calming effect. It?s also freeing all the joints in her neck, gradually, making it larger and larger. And just stay nice and slow and easy and just take notice as you begin coming into the circle really, really fast, just stop and ask yourself why you're going so fast and slow yourself right down. When she gets into the largest circle that she can make, she's going to begin to unwind that circle, or wind it back up, I should say, and bring it back into the opposite direction, coming large to small. Just breathing using her breath, gazing up at the "agna trakra" which is located up at the third eye, softly inhaling, softly exhaling , freeing all the muscles on her neck and the length through the cervical spine as she does this and hopefully putting her into a very relax state.
