Advanced Yoga Poses oga Pile Drivers

Pile Drivers are an intermediate movement to the full roll over in either yoga or pilates. And we're strengthening everything in an elongated position so you really getting advantage of both modalities. So as you own you roll down, curve through the spine, roll through, articulate all seventeen vertebrae. We're just going to rest our hands beside our body and we're going to think of resting the pelvis in neutral with our back into the mat. Very important, make sure you support that core integrity. Shoulders soft into the mat. Nice, soft neck, no cervical tension. Then we're going to take our toes and point them towards the ceiling. And come up just like your pile driving something through the ceiling, hence the name Pile Driver, and release. Now if you're a beginner, you might want to stay forty five or if you need full rest, come down with your feet, your knees bend, your feet flat on the mat, then extend and restart the movement again. Big inhale and we're going to exhale, point our toes up, and drive it to the ceiling, hold, try not to put too much pressure on your arms. You want the movement to be activated with your core and you?re lifting up towards the ceiling. Roll down through the spine, articulate the movement, bending the knees, plant your feet on the mat and roll up into that neutral position. Make sure when you're starting out with those Pile Drivers, that you don't put excessive force on your neck or your upper thoracic. You really going to initiate the movement up through your toes and drive through the ceiling for Pile Drivers.
